This program was created to care for our Cedrus Libani trees and keep them alive.
Trees are invaluable assets to our communities and will have a strong positive impact on our environment where they provide a wide range of benefits, as they can fight against climate change by storing CO2,filtering out carbon pollutants in the air, protecting the lives of millions of animal species, birds, butterflies, squirrelsand other wildlife by offering them habitats and improving our health.
By adopting a cedar tree, you support the Shouf Biosphere Reserve while attaching a deep meaning to trees and a sence of connection between the you and trees.
This tree adoption is a symbolic gift of love and life, an ideal gift for a wedding, for a birth, a business, a memmorial… or just to tell your nearest and dearest how much you love them!

Trees will be given a special care and attention to have the best possible chances and conditions to grow for a lifetime and can make future generations more resilient to climate change impacts,with proper watering which is critical for at least the first three years and mulching to retain water in the soil.
For adoting a cedar tree, below are the needed informations:
A- Your Full name – Address-Phone number
B- The name – date you need to put on the certificate & The Plaque
C- The whole process needs (1-15 days) to be completed, a plaque is placed next to a cedar seedling at Barouk Cedar Forest
D- The adopter will receive an adoption certificate for the tree and a membership card, that will be sent by liban post to the address given it takes 5-10 days in Lebanon, Outside Lebanon 10-20 Days
E- The cedar tree adoption is valid till 10 years from the date of adoption
